Four Queens Casino & Hotel One of the brightest and best luxury hotels in Las Vegas began as a humble hotel with only one hundred and twenty rooms and twenty thousand square feet of space in the casino. Since the ground breaking in 1964, the hotel has grown into a lavish, world class establishment with seven hundred rooms for guests and approximately fifty thousand square feet of space in the casino. Since the addition of the Royal Pavilion and The King’s Pavilion, Four Queens can extend convention space for up to five hundred people.Four Queens has not forgotten her roots; despite the impressive growth and acknowledgement as a Glitter Gulch landmark, there is no dress code in the laid back downtown hotel/casino. Penny, nickel, and quarter slots are still offered to gamers, unusual for a Las Vegas casino in this day and age. Despite the old fashioned flair, Four Queens refuses to be left in the dust as far as offering amenities. Business travels have access to a self-service center that provides computer workstations and high-speed Internet access. Guest rooms at the hotel can be booked with either one king sized bed or two double beds and include a 32” high definition flat panel television. Petite and Jacuzzi suites come equipped with a king sized bed, a conversation area with a sofa and 27” flat screen television and high speed Internet access. The Jacuzzi suite includes a Jacuzzi tub and a pull out sofa in the conversation area. The hotel offers a small food court and twenty-four hour bars and room service till midnight. Hugo’s Cellar restaurant is a magnificient award-winning establishment with a phenomenal menu and superb wine cellar that offers extraordinary cuisine and service. A lovely old-fashioned touch is Hugo’s custom of giving women who enter the restaurant a single red rose. Make reservations the moment you arrive if you want seating for dinner. Hugo’s has been recognized as “the best gourmet room in Las Vegas” for five years. The wine list was given the Award of Excellence from The Wine Spectator. Several recreational activities are available for guests either on-site or nearby. These include swimming, tennis, golfing, hiking and biking trails, horseback riding, helicopter sightseeing tours, and skydiving. Not to mention all the fun available on Fremont Street, a four block stretch of excitement that includes live music, classic car shows, and holiday festivals. The Four Queens Casino is a tough act to follow as well. Over thirty thousand square feet of casino space has been turned over to slots, including penny and nickel machines, video poker, sing-deck blackjack, craps, roulette, and Pai Gow poker. Slots and video poker feature ticket-in ticket-out technology that allows a player to continue on without waiting for jackpot draws. Poker is a mainstay at any Las Vegas casino and Four Queens offers some of the best tables in town. Texas Hold’Em, Let It Ride, Three Card, and Fortune Pai Gow are just a few of the games that heat up the poker room. Favorites such as craps and roulette are afforded the best action too – while always offering the latest in new games, Four Queens does not neglect cherished favorites. The Keno lounge and Sports Book is another dividend for guests at Four Queens. Visitors can relax in the lounge and participate in Keno at their leisure; in the Sports Book patrons can keep up with the action of their favorite teams, watching the action on a flat screen, 42” television. And just who were the original Four Queens? the Four Queens were Faith, Hope, Benita, and Michele, the daughters of the original owner of the hotel, Ben Goffstein. |
